Why this site exists

A résumé is a strange document. You get one page to sum up years of work, boiled down to bullet points and formatted so a stranger can skim the whole thing in about six seconds. It’s useful, and it tells you almost nothing about a person.

This site is my attempt at the opposite. Think of it as a résumé with the boring parts taken out and the interesting parts left in. Long-form, but hopefully not so long that you want to put a fork in your eye halfway through.

The other reason it exists is that I’m always working on or thinking about something, and most of that never fits on a résumé anyway. So this is where it goes. The blog is for whatever’s on my mind, the career page is the longer story of the things I’ve built, and the rest is just a way to get a little more of who I am.
